Is Baccarat The Easiest Casino Game?

August 16th, 2010 Lewis De Roques No comments

The game of baccarat as is played in casinos across the world, as well as online, is in fact one of the simplest games that you could ever probably come across. The rules are simple and after playing a few hands of the game, you would have no trouble sitting down at a baccarat table anywhere and playing along.

Unlike the more well-known casino card games, such as poker and blackjack, Baccarat is a game of pure chance and it is basically about guessing whether the value of the players hand will be greater than, less than or equal to the value of the banker’s hand. The hand with the highest value (with a maximum score of 9) is the winner.

Betting takes place before any cards have been seen. They place their bet on the “player”, the “banker” or on a “tie”. Any winnings are paid at even money if a player opts for “player” or “banker”, whereas the outside bet of both hands being a “tie” will pay handsome odds of 8-1.

After betting, the banker deals 2 cards face-up to each player. Cards numbered from 2 to 9 have their face value; Aces have a value of 1; 10s and picture cards have a zero value. The winning hand is simply that which is of a higher value. However one hand must have a value greater than 5 in order to be that winning hand.

If any combination of cards adds up to more than 9, the leading digit is dropped (eg take the “1″ from 17 to leave “7″). Since the leading digit is dropped for double-digit numbers, it is impossible to bust in a hand of baccarat.

Slot Machine Methods

August 6th, 2010 Bobby Jameson No comments

When playing a slot machine, any slot machine, you will experience a what seems to be a random “pattern” of wins and losses. It is often difficult to spot a pattern but the more you play the better your ability becomes in recognizing these patterns. In fact, the more you play, the easier it is to teach yourself to recognize and learn each slot machine pattern. The quicker you see a pattern, the better your ability is to either bet down, or even walk away when a machine is in a losing cycle, (or down cycle) and/or bet up when on a wining cycle, (or up cycle).

Since each spin of a slot machine is different from every other, some people attribute these cycles to nothing more than luck. Therefore, some players will say that when a machine loses a few hands, it is not necessarily in a down cycle nor winning a few hands means it is in an up cycle. Due to the Random Number Generator in every slot machine, which makes every spin different from every other, there is no real way to predict any future spin from any past. Therefore, it is often a matter of luck when you lose 20 hands in a row and then hit the jack-pot on the very next spin. This is why you will see experienced players hanging back watching a machine. They are waiting for the person playing it to hit a down cycle, cash out and move to another machine, while they swoop in and hope to catch the up cycle patterns.

These cycles suggest to some players that a slot machine may be either programmed or simply fall in intervals which lead to higher slot pay-outs. The more a machine takes in on a down cycle, the better the return is on an up cycle. So if you see someone quickly go thru say $100.00 on a slot machine, with no real hand, that might very well be the machine to jump on in hopes to catch its profitable up cycle.

I too have tried this very system time and again, on several different slot machines, but the payoffs always lead to the question, is this a sound system or is it simply luck or coincidence if or when that machine hits shortly after the “down cycle”? It is very hard to judge, as it really is a hit or miss with the Random Number Generator at work.

The notion is that there is one ongoing list of numbers called “the computer selection table” that the random number generator (RNG)selects from, which is a list that sometimes contains more losing numbers at one point and more winning numbers computer selection table at others. Determining which part of the computer selection table is the real point of this slots strategy. However, keep in mind, the Random Number Generator selects from hundreds of number combination’s every second, so when you hit “spin” the Random Number Generator collects the last number it generated and matches it with a corresponding reel placement. This determines if you win or not. Since you are seeing the results of significantly less than one percent of all the number combination’s generated. Therefore, it’s very hard, if not impossible, to determine whether you are just missing the jackpot or that you are in one of its down cycles.

The Gamblers Fallacy

July 30th, 2010 Peter Watson No comments

There is a certain idea that plagues many gamblers, whether they are new to online roulette or online roulette veterans. This idea single handedly chews through the bankrolls of gamblers and online roulette players across the world, whether they are good or bad, young or old.

The Gambler’s Fallacy is one thing you must be on constant guard against. This fallacy has been making players and gamblers make terrible bets, over and over again. Is has been around for centuries and is not going to go away anytime soon.

To give you a quick idea of what The Gambler’s Fallacy is imagine that the ball of a roulette wheel has landed on odds several times in a row. Somebody suffering from The Gambler’s Fallacy would then begin betting on evens thinking that the ball is now more likely to land on evens because it has landed on odd so many times already.

The notion that the table remembers what the last spin was is entirely incorrect. The table isn’t concerned with what the last result was, the odds are always consistent. The table does not remember a thing; the only thing that really matters is the math.

The Gambler’s Fallacy is an easy thing to fall for. One of the reasons it is so appealing is that on the surface it looks like the math would suggest that there is no fallacy. If one simply looks at one set of odds it makes The Gambler’s Fallacy an easy thing to fall prey to.

Most people look at the math and then make wrong conclusions from the brief overview of the odds. This would make it look like there is no Gambler’s Fallacy. But I will show you where they go wrong, and how to look at the odds properly.

For this experiment we need to pretend that there is no zero on the online roulette table, it simply makes the math easier. Picture the ball landing on an even number, the odds of this happening are 50%. Now picture the ball landing on an even number twice in a row, the odds of this happening are less than 50%. This is what makes it look like the ball is more likely to land odd after going even. However if you do the math you will find that the ball going even and then even again is just as likely to happen as the ball going even and then odds.

I hope that you now have the tools to never fall prey to The Gambler’s Fallacy ever again. There is nothing that will kill a gambler faster than believing in this fallacy. If you want to do well at online roulette you must understand how The Gambler’s Fallacy works and how it will steer you wrong.

Regardless of what strategy you use, it’s important that you play Online Roulette at the best casinos. The best casinos are the ones with the quick payment times, one of them is Bet365 Casino
