Sansa View 8gb MP3 Player: The Best Gift For Your Kids

July 26th, 2010 Elizabeth White No comments

All kids love cartoons, and my cute, adorable, and sweet little kids are no exceptions. I must admit I love cartoons, too. Even if we have different tastes, we spend most of our evenings watching cartoons. They love “The PowerPuff Girls”, while I’m crazy about “Dexter’s Laboratory”, so we might argue sometimes, but all arguments end with a kiss and a new cartoon.

I grew up watching cartoons from Disney, so my passion is understandable. I wanted to share this with them as well, but they seem to like watching Cartoon Network more than watching Cinderella. I eventually gave in, and started watching TV with them, but I’m still fonder of Disney cartoons.

Any time we go on holidays, the long journeys make them whine that they are bored, and they miss their cartoons, so they have asked me to buy them some player on which they could load their favorite episodes. First, I didn’t agree, but they kept on pleading and begging until I promised them I would get them an mp3 player with video capabilities.

I have come across the sansa view 8gb , which seems just perfect. Any child could easily use it, so I bought two, one for each girl, so that they wouldn’t fight on them. I loaded them up with their favorite cartoons, wrapped them, and made a beautiful surprise to my kids. Their happy dance when they opened the boxes and saw their new players was worth seeing!

They were so excited they took their new players with them everywhere. I also showed them how to load cartoons and music on their new players. Now I’m free to watch my Disney cartoons whenever I want, and I even uploaded some “Tom and Jerry” for them to watch. They seem to like them so far!

Acoustic Songs – More Versatile Than Most Would Expect

July 23rd, 2010 Sharon Stewart No comments

There are many famous songs performed by a singer with an acoustic guitar. There are, indeed, some songs that have more than one acoustic guitar or a separate guitarist and singer, but it is more impressive and makes more of an impact if it is a single guitarist who doubles his role as the singer. Some famous acoustic songs are Hey Hey My My by Neil Young, Tangled Up in Blue by Bob Dylan, and Such Great Heights by Iron & Wine. These songs all feature the same set up in common. They have one acoustic guitarist who doubles as a singer.

Good acoustic songs are relatively simple in most cases, but their crisp sound means that the singer/player must have skill. It is very difficult, if not impossible, to fake a good voice. Musical instruments that are typically used in them include the guitar, piano, harmonica and drums. The most popular by far is guitar because of its natural and unique sound.

Many people think that acoustic songs have more artistic value than their electric cousins. Whether this is true or not, acoustic songs do seem a bit more sincere than their counterparts. However, it boils down to the listener’s preference.

While music that is acoustic is certainly the more natural sounding, those that are played with electric instruments are what many musical groups and bands intend their music to sound like. That being said, much of the music that is released today is made by either or, depending on the taste of the band or the feel they are going for.

Some artists who perform electric music use computers to make talented sounding music, but they can’t recreate it themselves on a real instrument. For this reason, the more hardcore of music enthusiasts usually prefer acoustic songs as they are a demonstration of what a real music artist can do without the aid of computers.

Although it went out of style for a while, acoustic music is making a comeback. It will most likely be here to stay, but that’s not to say that electric music isn’t good. There’s just a certain appeal that acoustic music has.

Nothing says pure and real music like acoustic songs. Music played with acoustic guitars has a unique sound, and stands as a true show of the skill of the player.
