Should You See The Film Paranormal Activity?

August 26th, 2010 Merlyn Dovenmuehler No comments

“Paranormal Activity” is a movie that has recently been picked up by Paramount Pictures. This movie was originally an independent film that found many fans at Screamfest. Almost two years later the film is coming out again, this time with a different ending.

Steven Spielberg is said to be a big fan of this film and reportedly had a hand in its final scene.

The movie is based around Katie and Micah. Katie and Micah are deeply in love with each other, even though they have some slight relationship porblems.

As the movie begins the couple is relocating to San Diego. Soon the couple realizes that there is something wrong in the their new home. They begin to believe that the home is haunted, and then Katie tells another story. A story of a poltergeist that may have have killed her sister in the past.

This idea does not seem realistic to Micah, so he devises a plan to get to the bottom of the occurences. With the help of his video camera he begins to record the home at night.

Eventually, Micah captures some curious and inexplicable activity on video. At that point, he is persuaded of the presence of the poltergeist, which he succeeds in provoking further.

The couple eventually meets with a specialist in paranormal phenomenon, but obtain few insights. The specialist abruptly ends the consultation, asserting that he does not have the skill or ability necessary to handle this type of ghost.

As the movie continues Micah proceeds to aggravate the ghost in any way. Micah even decides to get a Ouija board to see if the ghost will begin to communicate with them. All of these activities lead to a dramatic ending.

This is a very strong effort, albeit in a minor key, and shows how economical you can be with a story line and still keep the audience riveted for ninety minutes.

If you enjoy scary movies this is a must see. Unlike many of the newer scary movies this one will actually scare and entertain you throughout the film.

Ways To Establish Style Of Comedy

August 25th, 2010 Bethy Shaw No comments

Though their way to stardom may be difficult in the beginning, when they start getting a captive and receptive audience, they’re on their way to their reward. Starting out, they have to utilize their brain and think about what could make a crowd laugh.

Comedians always need to calibrate and get tune their element before they reach to a point where everyone is responsive to them. Even then, there will be instances when they need to think of what they say.

Think of what type of comedy can fit you. How do you speak? Are you full of life and animation? Or do you think you’re rigid and just stand there wishing to tell jokes? Do you know of any funny tales from your childhood that can make great fodder to the audience? When you are aware of what you want to accomplish, you will be able to make a name.

Look for comedians who perform in the same way that you just do. The simplest way to advance would be to check out various comedy clubs and look at what expert comedians are doing. Take a look and pay attention at how they connect, share stories and render punch lines.

Some comedians may talk very quickly, while some may talk slow. Some will speak soft, while some will talk loud. It depends upon their personality as to how they deliver.

Get related on a personal level. Try to find some issues that you witnessed you want and don’t want. Think about things or incidents that make you happy or sad. Comedians must have to be able to connect with their listeners on a personal level. Free your mind and note precisely what comes to you.

You will find numerous styles of trick you could practice with:

Findings – this means you’re noticing foolish occurrences or other things that take place each day.

Mimicking – this means you are attempting to appear to be someone else.

Comparison Jokes – comparing yourself to someone else, recognizing disparities.

List Jokes – the first two areas offer a similar experience and the third part is opposite of the first two.

Do not forget the punch line if you are seeking to woo your audience with laughter. A punch line is the last portion of a joke or comedy sketch where there’s a term or perhaps a few words which the comedian use to make the audience laugh. If you take too long to do the punch line, the audience may become apathetic.

With stand-up comedy, you should rehearse your comedy routine. You may first want to practice it in front of people that you don’t know. You are searching for an honest opinion, whether it’s good or bad.

Doing it in front of people you know may be tricky. A lot of times they don’t wish to hurt your feelings, thus you might not get a genuine opinion from them. You want to know if your component is any good. If it’s not, you should tweak it to where you’re going to get people to respond positively. Work in the comedy clubs and wherever else you can try out your element.

Comedy clubs make the perfect place to begin your job. Carry on obtaining a sense of what you can do so that you can gain the joy of your audience. Ensure that your comedic routines are unique and that they have not been heightened from some other comedians.

Doing stand-up comedy is not easy. Back in the days if you could make your friends to laugh at your jokes, it was ok. Back then, people would easily think about you as a comedian. However, when you’re performing before a live audience, it’s a different story.

A pretty but still fun stand up comedy is hard to get! Absolutely everyone would love someone that will make them bust a gut and look great also. No more than the good stand up comedian carry out the action!
